“I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear ……I choose to risk my significance, to live so that which came to me as seed goes to the next as blossom, and that which came to me as blossom, goes on as fruit.” ― Dawna Markova

This long-weekend retreat is an opportunity to mark and celebrate the gifts and challenges, the myths and rituals of the season of Beltaine. Bel-taine or bright fire, is the celtic festival of fire, of the sun shining his strength; the season of blossoming, fullness, aliveness and fertility; the beginning of summer. The natural world is inviting us to open up and expand into the fullest expression of our highest potential. The God Belous (Bright one) is celebrated Bealtaine.

Rise Fierce // Women's retreat

You are here to live your highest and brightest. No one else can do what you are here to do. The alternative is an unlived life staying small and dimming our light. We might be shining in one area of our lives but collapsed and small in another.

  • What would it look like to fully shine your bright light in the world?
  • What would it feel like to fully shine your light in the world?
  • Where are you playing small in your life?
  • What’s stopping you from shining your light?

These are the questions we encounter at Bealtaine.

“May all that is unlived in you blossom into a future graced with love.” ― John O’DonohueAnam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

Throughout the weekend we will kindle the bright fire of our full potential through yoga, breath work, Celtic Wisdom of our ancestors, meditations, May morning ritual, walks and mindful inquiry. We may even jump into the sea for our first swim of the season! It’s becoming an annual tradition at this retreat. You choose to retreat in whatever way nourishes you – everything offered over the weekend is optional.

Where our yoga practice in deepest Samhain/ winter was inward and reflective the yoga of Bealtaine is an expansive, flowing, open practice. We cultivate a sense of moving outward from a deeply centred compassionate place. We flower from within like the white blossoms of the Hawthorn that are so visible at this time of the year.

By Car, From Lahinch:

We are 7kms from Lahinch driving straight out on the road to the Cliffs of Moher. As you enter Lahinch follow the signs for the Cliffs of Moher and Liscannor (it’s a right turn before you come into the main street of the village).

Drive along that road, with the golf course on your left. After 4 kms you will reach Liscannor Village. Continue driving through Liscannor Village. After another 3kms turn left, just before The Rock Shop (which is on the right side of the road). After 200 metres you will reach a crossroads, turn right. Continue up the road for approximately 750metres, we are the third property on the left, you will drive up a long driveway and we will be waiting for you there!
