Outstanding mindful yoga retreat with Dearbhla Glynn. I just got back from my third trip to the Cliffs of Moher Retreat this week. I feel like I really don't want to share this gem with anyone, but then again, they deserve all the praise they are getting in the reviews, so I am delighted to let potential guests know that the retreat is truly outstanding! My first trip was in 2017, followed by a week in 2018 with my husband and my 3rd trip now in 2019 was with my son and some friends. Basically, I choose my retreats to coincide with Dearbhla teaching us. I met her first in 2017 and was impressed by her incredible teaching. Tough Vinyasa Yoga (well at least for some of us) in the morning really makes you work hard, but so worth it and in the evening a beautiful Yin/Restorative Yoga makes you literally melt into the ground and drift off to another place and time. Dearbhla has an instant calming effect on people, her voice is so soothing to listen to during a meditation or Shavasana, she could probably put the crankiest babies to sleep! You really feel how Dearbhla cares about her guests, making sure everyone is comfortable and cared for and ensuring everyone felt included. She also devotes extra time to explaining yoga poses to those seeking more information or guidance. The food is another highlight, absolutely out of this world and even tho I am not vegetarian, I never felt I lacked anything, on the contrary, it was the delicious, fresh, nourishing and contrary to other comments, there was always food in abundance. Martha is a stellar cook and all that work with her clearly follow her lead. In fact all the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, everything is tidy and clean and you meet many interesting other guests. If you feel you need more space and/or peace and quiet, this is easily achieved too. There is a sauna and hot tub which can be used 24/7 as well as nature walks to join in on or swimming in the sea. The retreat is a haven for those wanting to relax, get fit, seek peace and quiet, enjoy good food and simply de-stress from a hectic and busy lifestyle. I know for sure I will be back, feeling more like I am visiting warm and welcoming friends than booking a yoga retreat experience. Stayed April 2019
