In May we celebrate the arrival of longer days and warmer weather. Following the days of Spring, at last we are on our way towards Summer. A long Winter can diminish our inner flame and this weekend is a gift to spark a connection to our core so we are fully embracing the beauty inside and surrounding us. During this retreat, we will take time to connect with our core physically, mentally and energetically. This fire centre in our bodies is our place associated with free will and personal power. It is also seen as the energy point for how we shine our light into the world. We have had time to hibernate and now is the time to shine on.

Our Forrest morning practices will see us come together to be witnesses to the challenges we may face in our physical practice from not being able to engage this place in our bodies whilst exploring what it feels like to be in relationship with this area of ourselves.

 

 

0d5f32b8-58b7-418d-90ef-9c4f03e3fd85In our evening Yin practices we will be focusing on the organs of the stomach and spleen, the liver and the gall bladder to allow us to see fully into our internal world. This is about uniting all the aspects within and igniting an inner flame of desire, connection and belonging so we step away from the mat and our weekend content and at peace with what is.

 

 

Experience chanting, a strong and dynamic yoga practice in the mornings and a relaxing yin and yoga nidra practice in the evenings. There will be some self-exploration as we dive deep into the four pillars of Forrest Yoga – Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit and experience the others parts of our yoga practice – meditation, ceremony, chanting and self-awareness. This weekend will leave you feeling connected, integrated and embodied for the months of sunshine ahead.

Relax, take a walk and partake in a welcome drink and sweet treat with your fellow retreat participants

18:00    Our first yoga and meditation class (90 minutes)

20:00    Dinner – delicious, healthy fare! Followed by arrival introduction chat to the weekend, the schedule and the area

 

Saturday

07:30     Early morning meditation

08:00    Delicious healthy breakfast buffet

08:30     Early morning silent walk

10:00      2 hour yoga class

12:30       Lunch – lots of yummy healthy food!

Free time – Options to take a trip to Lahinch to the beach, go surfing, take a tour of the area including the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren or stay and relax and enjoy a treatment

17:30       2 hour yoga class

19:30       Dinner – more lovely homemade healthy food followed by a delicious healthy dessert

Our beautiful glass fronted sauna will be available at all times during your stay and we will fire up our wood burning hot tub on Saturday, weather permitting

 

Sunday

07:30     Early morning meditation

08:00    Delicious healthy breakfast buffet

08:30     Early morning silent walk

10:00      2 hour yoga class

12:30    Lunch – lots of yummy healthy food and check out afterwards

 

During the day tea, coffee and herbal teas will be available at all times

Shannon is our closest airport. You can catch a taxi from the airport directly to the Retreat for approximately €90.

By Car, From Lahinch:

We are 7kms from Lahinch driving straight out on the road to the Cliffs of Moher. As you enter Lahinch follow the signs for the Cliffs of Moher and Liscannor (it’s a right turn before you come into the main street of the village).

Drive along that road, with the golf course on your left. After 4 kms you will reach Liscannor Village. Continue driving through Liscannor Village. After another 3kms turn left, just before The Rock Shop (which is on the right side of the road). After 200 metres you will reach a crossroads, turn right. Continue up the road for approximately 750metres, we are the third property on the left, you will drive up a long driveway and we will be waiting for you there!
