Fire & Ice Fridays

11:00 – 13:00

 

Welcome to Fire & Ice Friday! Two hours of pure bliss, combining all my favourite things in one experience. We will enjoy moments of tranquility and introspection through self-guided activities (group breathwork can be incredibly impactful!). We’ll also have plenty of opportunities for socialising, as we gather in the sauna, hot tub, and steam room. Support is key when immersing ourselves in the invigorating ice, and rest assured, the entire experience is both exhilarating and refreshing. By the time you leave, you’ll feel completely rejuvenated, as if you’ve been reborn!

These sessions are available to everyone, but we advise against participating if you are pregnant or have epilepsy. It’s a self-guided practice with helpful prompts. If you’re new to the Wim Hof Method breathing technique, we recommend arriving a few minutes early to receive a brief orientation from me (Michelle). Please note that this is not a led class, but I will guide you through the sequence beforehand to ensure you’re comfortable and familiar with the practice.

This approach offers an excellent method for conditioning the body with ‘eustress’ – a constructive type of stress that promotes positive effects on health, motivation, performance, and emotional well-being. Additionally, it provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, enjoy oneself, and foster social interactions in a breathtaking environment.. 

What to bring: comfy clothes, swimming togs, towel/robe, flip-flops, water bottle, travel cup for tea.

  • Movement: ‘Follow-the-yogi’, flow with Michelle or do your own movement for 15 mins
  • Breathwork: lay out your fluffy cloud (mat), choose your props, blankets and eye pillows, and breathe along with the group to a curated soundtrack playing above for 20 minutes. Heaven
  • Meditation: the bowls will sound when it is time to sit up to a short minute meditation
  • Sweat: We head out to the sauna, hottub and steam room. Positive stress – training body& mind
  • Freeze: The 3 Icebaths await. Together we will fill the baths with ice. Each bath will have more ice in it offer different experiences. We can go from hot to cold 2 or 3 times.
